Benoit Janvier
NACDN Founder
A wise person once said: “A man of calm is like a shady tree. People who need shelter come to it.” In many ways, this quote encompasses the credo, comportment, and unique spirit of Benoit Janvier — a visionary who kindled his devotion and passion for nursing and helping others into a national organization with a mission to:

Provide and maintain quality nursing care for individuals with Substance Use Disorders and their families through education, training and research. To provide an environment that promotes a superior level of knowledge in the field of Chemical Dependency Nursing.

Ben, as he was affectionately known, steadily advanced from humble beginnings to become widely respected in his chosen profession and community at large. His aspirations to impact those within his sphere of influence for the better helped guide him from one success to another, and to build an organizational platform that serves as a vehicle to help others realize their own professional and personal potential.

The reflections many of us have of Ben’s calm, unruffled, resolute, kind, and caring spirit is a testimony to the subtle, yet profound and indelible impression he made on all who knew him. The relationships he established, nourished, and treasured will continue to be a significant part of his legacy. Rest well on your journey, my friend, you will be missed!
